My Experiences With Night Terrors, Sleep Paralysis and Astral Projection

I am only 15 and I have been having “sleep paralysis” or at least what I thought was sleep paralysis, I have these terrible night terrors about once a month and I feel like I am going crazy.

In my night terror there is this (thing) shadow person and my shoulders around the back of my neck, this is such a strong horrible feeling, that in my night terrors end up in the fetal position in my bed, usually I wake up, but I can't move, completely frozen, I try to panic or scream out but I can't. Another one, when the shodow person has me and is pulling me backwards. Right now it's actually about 4 in the morning, I had only about 20 minutes ago.

Since the first time I have had night terrors I have been looking up every possible way to stop such things and night terrors or sleep paralysis, and from what I have found asto projection seems to play a massive part in sleep paralysis and night terrors. (asto projection - (for those who don't know) Astral projection (or astral travel) is an interpretation of any form of out-of-body experience that assumes the existence of an “astral body” separate from the physical body and capable of travelling outside it. Astral projection or travel denotes the astral body leaving the physical body) so to put it in short terms our spirit leaves our body while we sleep). (sound crazy? Google it!)

See when we are “astro projecting” we are completely frozen unable to move but are completely conscious (hence sleep paralysis) some people can remain conscious in there astro body therefore then do not suffer sleep paralysis) as for the night terror, our subconscious mind creates a night terror to go with these sensations. (i know I sound completely crazy or just stupid)

The moving feeling you have of being flung around the room could be caused by the fact your astral body is out and moving around your physical body, you need to learn to convince your self the shodow person or night terror side is part of imagination and focus on controlling your astro body or the movement.

I know at the time it feels like you can't do anything, that's where the power of the mind comes in! The light in your mind in safe your way out hence why you always go for the light, in your mind its like you turn off switch for this night terror.

I have been trying to focus on controlling my self when I feel like something is dragging backwards and pulling me around, and I have cut down the amount of night terrors I have been having.

Last night
by: Anonymous

Last night / morning I had a night terror or what others are describing as Astro Projection. I feel like I was attacked by a demon . I got up from where I was (on the couch in a Astro Projection of I guess the living room.) went to walk to the bedroom which I. Like see the light coming out. Just before I get there a shadow person popes up in front of me and grabbed me. Completely freaked the fuck out I woke up and couldn't believe what happened. Everything that was going on in the living room was also happening what I feel like is the shadow version of the same. The clock had almost an echoing and the radio took on a stranger muttered sound. Fast Forward to after this all went down and I'm trying to chill . All the shadows in the room were like organic in nature . Idk I'm a 32 yr old grown ass man . Why did this happen?

Demonic attacks
by: Anonymous

What you all are experiencing is DEMONIC ATTACKS! When you don't know JESUS apart from your sins... You open the door for demons to come in and torment and oppress you! Learn how to fight in the SPIRIT REALM AGAINST THESE ATTACKS! The bible says "we wrestle not with flesh and blood" so that is why the attacks come when your body is at rest but you have not entered into complete realm REM of sleep! Learn to plead the blood over your mind and your thoughts! Ask God to close and reveal any open doors that you may have opened to the satanic world unaware! Give your life to Jesus and allow HIM TO FIGHT ON YOUR BEHALF! IN JESUS NAME!

Correlation between Sleep Terrors Sleep Paralysis and Astral Projection
by: Evadne

I have them all. I use to see a little girl holding on to my big toe and a black cat in the room. Now, I see nothing. I can only feel a presence. I astral projected a few times but got scared as I often drift into outer space and that is scarey. I even tell my mind where to take me, but can't seem go control levitating. Plus I think I first need to learn more before meddling in this astral- bio science. I think it also has a spiritual side as usually the terrors end right after I open up my Bible and repeat Psalm 23. You could try that and see. The key is to be firm and forget your fears.

that thing in the corner
by: Laura

My sleep difficulties began at a really young age. Chronic nightmares and a night terror with sleep paralysis every few nights a week.
It has consistently been the same situation in my occurrences with sleep paralysis.
Between the age of 4-10 I would sleep with my door open and the light of the bathroom on across the hall from my bedroom. As soon as my body relaxed I could see the shadow child and adult walking around my room, slowly approaching me. I'd scream and would wake with my parents in my room sitting on my bed telling me it's OK. I'd feel really confused about what had happened.
As a teen and adult it's been the same. I am on my back and I look to the corner of the bedroom on the outline of a body, all black, is in the corner with the light of the window casting on it. My eyes try to adjust to see it clearly and during my eyes adjusting the black figure rushes tires my face and I end up shrieking. I usually am shaken awake by my husband now. But still have this problem with sleep.

you are not alone
by: Anonymous

For a few weeks now I been waking up in the middle of the night not able to speak or move. A few times there have been this old lady, one night she was in the side of me one night she was floating over me. The night she was floating over me there was a cat in the side of me which is weird because that's not the first time I've seen this cat. My mom thinks it's my spirit guide protecting me. But anyway alot of people give me different reasons in why this is happening some people think I'm crazy but this is real. This has happened night after night and is terrifying. This is not sleep paralysis or night terror this is spirits trying to contact us cause were out of our body. I learned how to control it lately because I've told it to leave me alone every night before bed and it hasn't happened in about a week now.

Night terrors happen to me all the time. It's like I'm suffocating and my boyfriend says I scream in my sleep. I know I'm trying to scream but I feel suffocated. My boyfriend held my hand last night and he said I immediately took a deep breath and woke up. He said a very strange warm sensation entered his body through his feet. He's never felt anything like that before. I've always been determined there were spirits involved...now I know it because of how he described it.

Ive had 14 years if experience, just recently ive learned how to control it. When it happens again say this in your mind 10 times "this is not real!" Then you need to try to focus see the room your in focus, then go talk to someone if they answer you your
Your fear should go away or you could go outside. Ive only gotten this far when your focused and walking around youll still feel fear but you could control your actions...
you MUST do those in order kk peace man goodluck

night terror or possesion
by: Anonymous

Ok you know how when your almost asleep your kinda in and out?? Like pretty much, your asleep but yet, your not? If that makes any sense....its kinda like being in the middle of being awake and asleep....well every now and then when i get to that point of "the middle state of awake and asleep" something happens that i cant even begin to really describe but im not exacdtly sure what it is :-(.....I still remember the very fist time it happened. I was living with my boyfriend at the time. We had gone to bed and i had just begun to fall asleep. All of a sudden i felt like something was holding me down and i could not move no matter how hard i tried. I tried screaming "help" but nothing would come out. My mouth was open tho but no sound. This lasted for a good ten minutes. I never saw anything though but i definitly felt it. The next day i asked my boyfriend had he heard me screaming. Maybe i was screaming and i just couldnt hear myself. He said no. I asked him if he felt me moving at all like struggling and again he said no. So this tells me whatever it was, it put up some kind of sheild to block my sound or movement from anyone else in the house. The same thing happened to my younger brother when he was a very small child. My mom says he saw some bright light in the corner of his room by the ceiling and he was screaming so loud but yet my mother didnt hear him....my grandfather did tho and the next day he asked my mom why she didnt get up. She said that she never heard him. My grandfather said that he didnt understand how she could not because my bro screamed so loud that he bets the neighbors heard him. My mom says what he had was a night terror. So can someone try to explain to me what all this is or how i can fix it?

Plz don't be afraid
by: Anonymous

Over the years, I've realized that I fly in my dreams and occasionally I've seen myself while sleeping. But most of all I've realized I can control the fear I feel in my dreams. People say if you fall and you hit the ground, you die, it's not true!! I've done it so much that I know when I'm falling it's either into another dream or I'm about to wake up. I've even drowned, nothing happened. The mind is a powerful thing. When I find myself in crazy places I become curious and allow my mind to guide my dreams, I just go with it. If you find yourself in a scary situation, THINK to yourself, it's only a dream. Once you accept that then you'll realize you have alot more control then you did before. Good Luck

If you're really scared then just remember that GOD is the keeper of our souls and will protect you!!

SHADOW MAN
by: Anonymous

Once when I was about 12 or 13 yrs. old my mother was gone for the night and while sleeping all of a sudden I woke straight out of my sleep and looked toward the open bedroom door and saw a dark shadow figure. At first I thought it was my mom because, although it was dark, but somehow I knew what it was wearing, and it was my mom's work clothes. Immediately i knew it wasn't her and I freaked out. I told her about it the next day and she was kind of freaked out about it. I had asked was it a bad sign she never answer.

As an adult I've had dreams to where I was standing outside of my bedroom door watching my physical body sleep and in front of me was that same shadow man also watching me, he was shaped like the man on the men's bathroom door sign. once he realized that I could see him he disappeared into the wall. WEIRD HUH?

Night Terrors / Astro Projection
by: Sophie PG

When I was younger, I used to wake up late at night screaming in absolute hysteria. I didn't know what it was but I just felt this presence of something dark; it's hard to explain but it was just pure fear. I'd get up and walk around and stuff but I still felt like I was in two dimensions at once (as crazy as that sounds), because although I could see and hear my parents trying to calm me down, apparently I would just stare straight through them to this one place in the lounge room. There was something that I was terrified of in that spot, I remember this dark shadow being in the spot, it didn't have a defined figure but it was just, there, if you know what I mean. I felt like I had to get away from it as though it was coming after me. During this trance-like state I was really confused and I couldn't seem to control my body properly. This could have been because at the same time as being in my physical body in reality, I was astral-travelling too; this could explain why I felt like I was in two dimensions.
This one time I woke up in bed and saw my own body lying in the bed, only I felt tiny, and the bed seemed at least 4 times it's real size. Despite the fact that I could move perfectly fine, I felt like I was going really slow.
I'm 15 now and haven't had a night terror since, but certain things sometimes trigger this anxiety within me. Just thinking about it now makes me feel like I'm being watched.

yes i also just had an episode, ive had it for more than 8 years , it had stopped and now its back, i deal with night terrors sleep paralysis and i guess sleep walkin so ive been told, just this once about 5 years ago, me and my husband were having a long drive, normally i slide the car seat down and have a nap for a bit, i sleep on the side but always tend to way up sleep on my back, my husband told me what happened i have no knowledge of it, he said whilst sleeping all of a sudden i wake up from a straight postion with out moving or stuggle like a perfect sit up postion, i couldnt do that even if i tried, any how he said then all of a sudden as it was raining lightning stuck and at the exact time i tilted my head to the back of the car facing the room, with both my hands on the side of my face he said i made a face so scary that there was no way i could of made that face he swore on it, then he said with one fingure i wouldnt press the buttons to the window and open it, he said it was freezing and rain barging in, when he would say what am i doing he said i put my fingure on my lip as if im sayin be quiet, anyway then we reach our destination, this is what i remember , reaching our destination saying that was quick and then being sick i start vomiting, i end up with a fever and am seriously unwell. many other episodes have happened , IVE HAD ENOUGH, if anyone knows if they can help me plz reply.

sleep paralysis...
by: overflow

I've been experiencing sleep paralysis ever since I was a little kid. It happens to me at least a few times a week. It used to scare the shit out of me cuz I didn't know what was going on, but over the years I've learned to better control it. If you can get over the fear (I know it can be intense) but if you can get over it and tune into what's going on in your mind and body, it can be a really enjoyable experience. On a few occasions I was able to leave my body. Sometimes I just floated around, other times I flew off into space, and looked down and could actually see the whole earth, it was awesome. I'm trying to learn to have better control over the astral projection.

night terrors

i am i6 i have ben having these terrors all my life i have learned through my mother own how to instead control but to understand what each means ....my family on my mothers side practice traveling to the spirit word, my mother told me to stay away from things like voodooo and black magic , she also told me about astro body she told me that the reason i was having these terrors was because she too had them ..in my terror there was a old man , a shadow my with yellow eyes and horns , and i boy , the old man and boy were very nice to me ...in fact i would stay with them from time to time ...but the shadow mann was mdiffrent the boy said that he was the (devile or the 666 man)he wanted my physical body ...but to make things short ..in order to stop these terrors you must confunt your monster or shadow ...fight back u are alive they are not you can kill them fight FIGHT FIGHT!!!

So it's not just me, whew...
by: Kim

I have been having night terrors & leaving my body for years. I've tried to control it, the floating, but haven't had much luck. It all started after some head injuries about 20 years ago. It seems to come in phases and goes away for a while. It scares the shit out of me. I have fallen pretty far, bouncing when I wake, not cool. Changing sheets & pjs sometimes more than once a night. I am comforted a bit to know I'm not the only one. Any pointers on controlling the floating? I am always just so scared & can't, or don't focus on being in control. I don't remember seeing any scary people or shadows, are they always present? Thanks if anyone has anything to help.

Weird experience
by: Anonymous

ok so I just watched the movie (Insidious) and I was intreged by the astro body's. this could explain why I always sleep so bad I feel like I'm flying. it's like I'm there but can't process what's going on. I just know basic motor skills. all I can remember is seeing white clouds, and a huge man. He wasn't scary but I remember feeling cerine with my surroundings. I heard a voice saying it's not your time go back to your home. and the man smiled and said "I Love You My Son" so I'm basically thinking I talked to God. I'm a very religious person. I've always gone to church and read the Bible. I asked him to forgive Me of my past. until I came across a evil Shadow that haunted me...

I have had these for years... I have had my share of visitors which is horrifying... I tend to freak out when I only have one a night but when I have several I become less scared and start to take control... I close my eyes (one of two things that still work) then I imagine myself levitating... This was suggested to me... I felt myself lift off the bed and it felt so relaxing and nice... I floated so high that I could feel the ceiling press against my face... I opened my eyes and was once again terrified... I felt myself fall and hit the bed at which point I woke and actually felt myself bounce of the bed a couple of inches as if I were dropped... I was amazed... From that point I focused on levitating but also controlling how high I went and what directions my body would move... I learned to go through walls and go where I wanted... unfortunately this is short live and I wake again paralyzed and start over... It always got better till I was no longer afraid... Now I long for this... I know leaving my body is a lucid dream, but whats better than a dream you have full control of... The night terrors or visitors... Well... That still scares me tremendously... I have one warning though... Make sure you don't start walking through walls till you learned to walk around the house... You may find yourself falling from 30K feet with no control over it when its time to wake up... That's a scary feeling... Ive woke in puddles of my own sweat after doing that...
